Interview with Justin Mylo: 'Martin Garrix and I have been friends for a very long time'

Hi Justin, introduce yourself!

I'm Justin Mylo, 22 years old, living in Amsterdam and I’m a DJ and music producer.

When did you get involved in EDM?

I think it was when I was about 12 years old. My heroes were Vato Gonzales, Chuckie and Tiesto. That's how I came into contact with electronic dance music.

How was it to work with Martin Garrix?

Martin Garrix and I have been friends for a very long time. For us it is a natural process, two friends who do their thing well together. It has its pros and cons, It's good that we know each other well, but because we know each other well, we're often more fooling around than actually producing.

What is it like to see yourself on TV at Veronica (NEXT ICONS)?

Haha, I find it a bit uncomfortable to look at myself. I hardly watch my YouTube videos on the internet either.

What can we expect from you?

Yes, big projects are coming up, solo records and a new collab with Martin Garrix. Maybe you already heard about that. So there's a lot coming up!

Who would you like to work with?

I would like to work with Ellie Goulding. Her voice is so unique. 

With who would you like to trade a day?

Haha, I think with the President of USA, but the retired one (Obama).
