…Than buying each product separately - which wouldn’t bother me if you could maybe choose what sticks you get with it or could customise to some extent your options.
Nevertheless I’ve bought a few different tune up kits and this is easily the best for snare. The cleaning equipment they give you is really handy and the packaging has useful instructions and some compartments to store the pieces of the drum you’re working on making the process fool-proof.
The UV1 is Evans most durable offering to date - I have this thing on both of my snares (vintage rogers dyna sonic + tama mirage acrylic reissue) and they both sound incredible. Great presence, great attack, not too resonant / but the included EQ pod stops any unwanted overtones.
Overall these tune up kits are amazingly handy but could maybe be a bit cheaper. I don’t need sticks with it, maybe they could stop including those to save money?
