Deze mono case voor die ik gebruik voor mijn jazz bas, is fantastisch om verschillende redenen:

Deze tas is erg robuust dus gaat niet zomaar stuk.
Ik gebruik hem ook voor optredens en band repetities.

Deze tas beschermd het instrument daarnaast ook uitermate goed, er zit een dikke laag stof waar daarvoor zorgt in.

En naast dat alles kan je ook gewoon gerust ermee in de regen fietsen!

Maar natuurlijk zit er ook een nadeel aan:
Hij is erg groot in vergelijking met andere tassen dus hij is wat moeilijk om in een kleine auto te krijgen als je met meerdere muzikanten reist.

Kortom een echte aanrader!

Prima hoes

De bas moet dreunen 05.10.2023

Draagt comfortabel, compact maar stevig. Mooie kwaliteit in de afwerking. Enige puntje misschien de band-sluiting van het vak voorop, die werkt een beetje onhandig af en toe.

Excellent case, but some quirks

Bought this bag some time ago, and really like it. It's extremely well built and reassuringly sturdy. It's a very tight fit around the instrument, so there's very little play inside, giving you peace of mind that your bass won't be moving about. Zips are all rugged, everything seems well thought out and durable. It's also nicely stiff, so it stands up on its own and doesn't flop about when the bass isn't inside. That makes it really easy to get the bass in and out.

But there are some quirks. Because it's such a tight fit around the instrument, the headstock gets squashed by the padding, which will cause your tuning pegs to be flattened out. Not a big issue seeing as you'll tune before playing anyway, but obviously not ideal. Also, the front pocket is spacious but there is a gigantic big flap over it which is secured with a metal clasp. This flap has no function at all and is purely cosmetic it seems, and you wonder how much weight could be saved without it.

Not big problems, but worth noting before purchase. Recommended!

Fancy flight-friendly sleeve

Pros: Lightweight and thin sleeve for 4 or 5 string bass. The bass is safe despite the limited thickness of the bag. Big pocket for music and other gear. Comfortable straps. Fits in the overhead locker on almost every passenger aircraft.

Cons: The extra cover over the pocket is not necessary at all, and puts extra weight to the sleeve even though it has no other function than to give the sleeve a fancy look. There is also a hook to attach this cover to the pocket which is difficult to deal with.
The machines of the bass will be brought to the "Zero position" due to the tightness of the sleeve. Prepare to tune up!

Conclusion: Good sleeve. If you travel a lot by air, this is the bag that leaves no discussion with the crew. It fits in the locker - Period.
