Ik vind eigenlijk alle vellen van Remo kwalitatief uitmuntend. Dit geldt ook zeker voor dit vel. Hou je van een strakke, gefocuste bass drum, dan zit je met dit vel zeker goed. Mocht je een wat warmere klank willen, dan raad ik de coated versie van dit vel aan.

De remo 22" Powerstroke bass head is tot nu toe de beste aankoop geweest voor mijn bassdrum. Het geluid is vol met een scherpe attack, en geeft een perfecte low-end. Dit in combinatie met een Remo kevlar kickpad over het vel geeft de overall feeling van de drums een enorme klap. Aanrader!
Helaas is er een fout opgetreden, probeert u het a.u.b. later nogmaals.

The Powerstroke 3 is a classic design that broadly fits in line with the pinstripe range of tom heads; designed to offer some control to give a more powerful fundamental tone without dampening the resonance too much. It comes with a small adhesive kick pad that you stick on the drum where the beater hits to add some high end click that comes in very handy in a band mix.
This makes it a solid choice for many styles of drumming up to hard rock, although fast double bass players may find it lacking in definition a little. It definitely responds well to tuning in that you can get a wide range of sounds from it if you're prepared to put the effort in.
I have taken a star off quality because I've had a few of these in the past and found a couple of them to be a little more dead sounding than the others - it's possible the factory had some QC issues a few years ago, but I don't have a large enough sample to be sure of that.
Overall though, this is my favourite general purpose kick head, especially with a kick pad to add some definition.
