Launchpad support voor nieuwe Logic Pro X update

Apple heeft deze week de grote nieuwe Logic Pro X 10.5 update aangekondigd met o.a. Live Loops. Hiermee lijkt Logic de strijd te openen tegenover Ableton waarbij de Launchpads natuurlijk zorgen voor een toffe hardware / software integratie.

Live Loops komt met de nieuwe update en laat gebruikers cellen triggeren in Logic, dit kan one-shots, loops, MIDI en automation data zijn. Tof is dat de Launchpads hiermee al integreert en dat je de Launchpad nu met Logic kunt gebruiken. 

"Setup is automatic: Just plug in a compatible Launchpad and Logic’s Control Surface Setup window will appear to notify a connection, then rotate the device 90 degrees to match the layout of the Live Loops grid. You can even attach multiple Launchpads to use them simultaneously, with additional options for the top-down orientation of your devices. Set up can be adjusted for control either 90 degrees to the right or to the left. Rotation is always required."
