Review: Hercules DJ Control Jogvision

djs/hardware Review: Hercules DJControl Jogvision

Hercules has been building high-quality entry-level DJ controllers for years. With the Jogvision Hercules continues this path by bringing a high-quality DJ controller to the market. The image of budget DJ controllers is often that the quality is low. The Hercules Jogvision completely invalidates that image and shows that quality is certainly feasible for the price. The Jogvision has two decks, each with a jog wheel with integrated display. The controller also has sample trigger buttons, pitch fader, FX, LED VU-meter sync option and extensive software control on the hardware for Serato Intro DJ software.

Because the DJ controller is compatible with Serato DJ, there are many possibilities. In addition, the Jogvision has an internal sound card so you only need a computer to use it.

The hardware

The Hercules Jogvision has many connections for an entry-level DJ controller. The jog wheels and complete controller feel very sturdy and certainly not cheap. The controller works with a sound quality of 24-bit and 96 kHz. Also, the controller has an Air Control function, this is a sensor that detects the distance between your hand and the controller. This is linked to an effect, which gives the DJ extra creativity during a performance.

Serato DJ

The DJ controller is equipped with an introversion of Serato DJ. This is the first Hercules controller that is compatible with Serato DJ. This is a big step and results in extensive options for the user. Serato DJ is globally recognized software and very popular. If you want more options outside of this software, you can switch to a paid version of Serato for € 129.

For novice DJs who are creative, the Jogvision is a perfect controller. The Jogvision has enough advanced features such as touch pads, air control and Serato DJ. The controller is therefore also far above comparable controllers in the same price range. Hercules is taking a big step forward and has developed a beautiful and high-quality product.

The controller has some minor points for improvement. This is particularly evident when operating Serato DJ from the controller, but for the price range it is a particularly good product. Would this be the step in more advanced affordable controllers from Hercules?
