The new model of the Dualo the Dualo du-touch S is a controller, synthesizer and sequencer in one. The instrument looks a bit like a futuristic accordion and with its small size it is easy to carry. It is a very versatile instrument and for beginners this is a very accessible instrument because the scales and chords are represented by simple geometric shapes.

How does it work?

The Dualo du-touch S is played with the 26 drum pads on each side (52 in total) that can be operated as a controller, synthesizer or sequencer. On the top of the instrument is a sound button to choose from different types of instruments and a settings button with which you can set up almost anything. At the front of the instrument there is a music button with which you can conveniently create and select loops and a scroll bar (sensor) with which you can adjust the volume by swiping up and down.

The 52 drum pads are all lit and by selecting a color with the drum pads you can choose what you want to do with the next loop. If the drum pad turns green, the loop you play just plays, select orange, then you turn off the loop, in red you record a loop and with white you empty the selection.

Accessible

The instrument is tuned to the chromatic scale and can play up to three octaves. For beginners, this is a very accessible instrument because the scales and chords are represented by simple geometric shapes.

The instrument looks simplistic and cool, especially the lighting of the touchpads and the innovative scrollbar to adjust the volume are very noticeable. The Dualo du-touch S comes with a concise manual, however, this manual is more than sufficient to control the instrument in minutes.
