Singer Tom Petty, known for the band Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers died at an age of 66. According to CBS he was in the hospital on respiration and after they didn't see any brain activity.
Tom's breakthrough came in 1978 with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers after the release Breakdown. His music style often gets compared with the style of Bob Dyland and Neil Young.
He just finished his big tour that ended in the Hollywood Bowl.
